The Write Stuff (Writer's Workshop Series)
Have you ...

  • Had that book or story inside you just waiting to be written?
  • Always wanted to write the stories of your family?
  • Had an idea for a book you just know the kids/grandkids would love?
  • Been waiting for the right time to try your hand at writing?

This just might be the perfect time to get started!  Award winning author David A. Poulsen will teach you the techniques that can turn those terrific ideas into terrific pages.  You will write and find out it can be both fun and rewarding.  Participants will "workshop" their writing project with other writers like themselves, offering and receiving helpful suggestions as to how to make that story even better.  Participants will have fun sharing ideas, dreams, hopes, stories and finding out what to do with that story once it is written.

Thursday, April 26, 7:00pm
Author Reading - David will read from one of his works, with discussion on the business of being a writer to follow, including getting an agent, finding a publisher, self-publishing, and self-promotion.

One-on-One Consultations

Writers can contact David at the Claresholm Library starting February 1 by phone (403-625-4168) or by email poulsend@telusplanet.net to make appointments for one-on-one consultations.
